The
Electronic Vis-U-Tec senses pressure differentials as low as 10 psig (0.69
barg) downstream from the Rupture Disk (Bursting Disc). Vis-U-Tec's piston fully extends,
breaking the sensor's conductive circuit. Used with the Burst Disk
Monitor, Vis-U-Tec's electrical warning triggers an audible or visual
alarm.
Benefits
Instantly Warns of a Ruptured Disk
Reduces Plant Down-Time
Reduces Product Loss
Minimizes Environmental Pollution
Re-useable - Reset the Piston Position
Applications
Relief Valve Isolation
For
Double Disk Assemblies, Mid-Flange Installation Between Disks
For
Disks Free-Venting to Atmosphere or Down-Stream Piping
Storage and Process Vessel Pressure Detection
Features
After
replacing the ruptured disk, reset the Vis-U-Tec by pushing the piston
fully back into the unit.
12
inch (30cm) two-conductor cable
316
SS construction for all wetted parts contacting process fluids
Viton
O-ring seals the piston.
Operating temperatures range from - 40 °F (- 40 °C) to 400 °F
(204 °C).
Maximum current: 250 mA
Maximum voltage: 24 Vdc
Suitable for intrinsically safe applications when used with
certified apparatus (i.e. Zener Barrier)
Available with Aluminum Piston option that provides visual
warning only.
Installation
The
Vis-U-Tec sensor fits into the Safety Head or piping outlet using a _ inch
NPT screw connection.
Availability
Use the
Vis-U-Tec sensor in applications that vent into enclosed volumes or for
free-venting applications.
